Maria Vazquez, Head of Post-Graduate IP Masters Program, Universidad San Andres, Argentina
Maria de Lourdes Vazquez is the Director of the Joint Masters Program in Intellectual Property and Innovation at Universidad de San Andres in Argentina. She holds a law degree from Universidad Católica Argentina, an LLM from Harvard Law School and completed her doctoral studies at the European University Institute. After serving as in- house counsel to Virgin Records (London) and EMI Records (New York), Maria was a
partner in the IP Department at Marval O'Farrell & Mairal (Buenos Aires). She received the "Fortabat Visiting Scholarship" at Harvard University’s David Rockefeller Center for LatinAmerican Studies, where her research focus was on IP, Internet Policy and Digital
Citizenship in Latin America. She has been a professor of Copyright and Droit d'Auteur, Legal Aspects of the Web, Film Law, and Legal Aspects of Advertising. She has lectured at the WIPO-WTO Colloquium for IP Teachers. Her research interests include: Intellectual Property and Development in Latin America, Music Copyright in the Digital Era, and Fair Use Factors in Latin American Case Law.
