Marco Antonio Fireman, Secretary of Science, Technology and Strategic Inputs, Brazilian Ministry of Health

Bachelor in Business Administration, with a specialization in Business Management from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation, Marco Antônio Fireman has a professional career built on experiences in management, both in the private and public sectors.

For 26 years, has served in various roles as a business manager in the private sector, focused on agribusiness, real estate development, entertainment. He presided over the Association of Real Estate Market Companies of Alagoas (Ademi/AL), the Commercial Association of Maceió and the Consortium of Strategic Planning of the City of Maceió.

Upon joining Alagoas state government in 2007, he assumed the infrastructure secretariat, which he directed until 2014. Fireman was responsible for housing, transportation, sanitation and water infrastructure policies in Alagoas. He also presided over the Board of Directors of the State Sanitation Company, the State Housing Council, and was vice-president of the National Housing Forum, among other prominent positions in the scope of State Administration.

In 2015, he assumed the Presidency of the Brazilian Company of Urban Trains, which he left in 2016 to assume the Secretariat of Science, Technology and Strategic Inputs of the Ministry of Health (SCTIE/MS).
