Marcelo Morales, Secretary of Policies for Training and Strategic Actions, Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications
Marcelo Marcos Morales is Secretary of Policies for Training and Strategic Actions at the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications. He has an important role in national and international scientific policy: He was Secretary General and President of the Latin American Federation of Biophysical Societies (LAFeBS), President of the Brazilian Society of Biophysics (SBBf), Coordinator of the National Council for Animal Experimentation Control (CONCEA), member of the Council of the International Union of Biophysics (IUPAB). He was also Coordinator of the Latin American Graduate Program in Biophysics (POSLATAM), Secretary of the Federation of Experimental Biology Societies (FESBE), Secretary of the Brazilian Society for the Progress of Science (SBPC). He was Director of CNPq’s Agricultural, Biological and Health Sciences department (2014-2019). Mr. Morales studied Medicine at the University of São Paulo and is PhD in Biological Sciences (Biophysics) for the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
