Francine F. Padilha, Ph.D. Professor and Researcher, Tiradentes University (Unit) and Institute of Technology and Research (ITP), Aracaju, SE, Brazil. Dr. Padilha is the Coordinator of Renorbio at Unit. Graduated in Biological Science, Universidade Católica de Pelotas (1994), Master’s in Science and Technology Food, Universidade Federal de Pelotas (1997), Ph.D. in Science and Technology Food, Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2003). Visiting Professor at Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto (2014/2015). She is also a faculty member of the Graduate Programmes in Health and Environment PSA) and Industrial Biotechnology. Dr. Padilha is expert in biomaterials, natural products and industrial microbiology. She has published 70 peer reviewed articles, 4 book chapters, 37 filed patents (2 with companies and 2 with international partners). Supervised 28 Ph.D. dissertations, 33 master’s thesis and 1 post doctorate. She is head of several projects supported by CNPq, CAPES and BNB. She has partners with Portugal, Canada, United States.
