Elizabeth de Carvalhaes, President, Interfarma
In October 2018, Elizabeth assumed the position of CEO at INTERFARMA – Brazilian Pharmaceutical Research Industry Association – which represents more than 50 pharmaceutical laboratories responsible for innovation in health in Brazil.
Prior to that, Elizabeth worked in the agribusiness sector for over 10 years, also as Ibá CEO, an association that emerged from the union of five forest-based producers for various purposes including pulp, paper, panels, floors, charcoal and others. At the same time, she was also president of the International Council of Forests and Paper Associations (ICFPA) and member of international forums such as the Steering Committee of the Advisory Group for Sustainable Forest Industries (ACSFI) of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO/UN).
Elizabeth started her career as director of government relations at Volkswagen Brazil and was vice president of the Brazilian Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea).
