The BIO International Convention is the world’s largest biotechnology event that happened between June 4-7, 2018, in Boston/US. As part of the BIO Convention program, the III Summit Brazil was promoted by Abiquifi and Apex-Brasil, and was held on Monday, June 4th.
This Summit presented an overview of the biotechnology industry in Brazil and the opportunities offered to foreign investment in this sector. In addition, participants had the opportunity to interact with government leaders and Brazilian companies, and attest to the country’s commitment to technological innovation and its regional role in this sector.
Arthur Nigri, Business Director of Biominas Brasil, participated in the Summit as moderator and speaker of the panel “Startups and Innovation Ecosystem in Brazil.”
Through the Brazilian Pharma and Health initiative, the country supports the globalization of Brazilian biotechnology companies as well as the identification of investment and export opportunities, intensifying the exchange of technologies. Brazil is the largest Latin American market for health-related services and the world’s most biodiverse country, and has been enhancing its position as a regional leader in the research and development of new drugs.
